MCP Connectors
Obris connects to AI platforms as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Once connected, your AI assistant can reference your Obris project data during conversations.
Before you start
To set up an Obris MCP connector, you'll need:
- An Obris account — sign up at app.obris.ai if you don't have one
- At least one project with saved references in your Obris account
- A supported AI platform: Claude, Claude Code, or ChatGPT
Obris connectors use OAuth for authentication. When you connect a platform, you'll be redirected to Obris to authorize access. You can revoke access at any time from the Integrations page.
Connect your AI platform
Select your AI platform below to see the setup instructions.
Connect via the Claude web app using Connectors.
- Open Claude and go to Settings
- Navigate to Connectors and click Add custom connector
- Enter the following details:
- Name
Obris- Remote MCP Server URL
https://mcp.obris.ai
- Click Add to save the connector
- Select the Obris connector and click Connect to sign in with your Obris account
Check the connection
Once connected, verify that Obris is working by asking your AI assistant a question about your projects. Try a prompt like:
What projects do I have in Obris?
Your assistant should be able to list your Obris projects and the references saved in them. If the connection isn't working, try disconnecting and reconnecting from the Integrations page.
Obris tools are only available when the AI platform chooses to invoke them. If your assistant doesn't reference your Obris data, try mentioning Obris explicitly in your prompt — for example, "Using Obris, find my references about..."
